All the mess/mame sources were updated. to mess072 / mame072/ Ice88 updated this for the dc ports of these emulators all source code is downloadable here.
For MAME, extract it ontop of: mame072s.
For MESS, extract it ontop of: mame072s.zip and mess072s.zip .


Important: There are no roms included in any of the downloads provided on this site. Please do not request any images with roms included, or where to find them. I will not fulfill requests for anything related to rom images through my forum or email.




NeoCD/SDL DC Version 9.3

This is the offical build it uses stef d's c68k m68k emulator this core is the best and fastest at this time. From the test builds people complained of "to much speed", "missing frames of anmation" and the *shadows* and some missing grafix this is now fixed. Loading screens are messed on a few games but in game should be correct for the first time correct speed. Yes slow down on metal slug 1 and 2 is there. This is slower then the test builds as they were 120% speed. Smooth ness now should make up for this. You will noticed this on Rangnagard and most fighting games the new smoothness and flashing shadows fully working. Aero fighters 2 the planes now flash and grafix are correct. Z80 is running but sound is disabled let me know if any other games work with cdda music.

NeoCD/SDL DC Version 9 test build 2 Download version 9.2 and source

Stef d fixed the timer bug in his core. There should be no problems loading or playing games like before. You can download 8.1 below if you want the previous build.

NeoCD/SDL DC Version 9 test build

This is a test build only it uses stef d's c68k m68k emulator this core is the best and fastest I have used. it's still new so has some bugs namely a timer bug which breaks a lot of games.Shadows will not work right in this build at all I have a compiler setting for maxuim speed it stops flicker working on many games this is only a test not a full IMRtech release so think of yourselves as a beta tester to help out.

NeoCD/SDL DC Version 8.1

List of improvements in this version are: - Now will tell you to wait game is loading when it boots - bug fix for code error forgot to add this in v8.0 (samurai spirits rpg) - Region selector fix now works in this version - Added compiler flags for speed not space - Sfx added back in code to slow to use (disabled but z80 is being called). - touch faster little bit less slow down on metal slug1 - Region selector is turned on by holding in the start button now when you swap a cd in keep it held in then it will show up to change regions. Last time it was broken

NeoCD/SDL DC Version 8.0

List of improvements in this version are:- PVR rendering no longer using SDL for video.- PVR filtering grafix smoothing. - No Frameskip needed- code removed.- UP to 10fps faster. - All clipping problems sides of screen fixed.- VGA support should be center now.- Code reduction optmizing. - Many games have hit fullspeed now- Seems to be some CDDA improvement now with some game tracks - cdaudio(kos) used -By Troy Davis (GPF) Thanks again to Speud, a very talented coder

NeoCD/SDL DC Version 7.1

Sprite layer fix for many games. graphics priority fix courtesy of (lantus) Thanks! and to fosters for sharing it with me. -- speed up by 1 fps to 4 fps -- New compiler settings. -- View point now correct for example. I will update the compatibility list when I get new reports for this version

NeoCD/SDL DC Version 7

V7 has this improvements - Bios grafix now, are not scrambled, Press ( Start,a,b,x,y together to enter bios) This lets you format the memory card. - Auto saving, No user input needed, look at the, VMU to know when it's saving. - Auto game loading now, waits till you open the lid, before checking for a game Saves the dreamcast work. - New Progress status tells you what to do and when Should stop any user error's -Control fix now the select button works bringing in game pause and being able to look at and quit back to the menu from art gallerys. - Now supporting proper 2 players in all games. - new splash screen - Comes with a preformated memory card to use with speuds VMU TOOL has saves built in for metal slug 1 and other games. - Some optmizing to the render Changed some Multis to shifts

NeoCD/SDL DC Version 6.5

Speed and slow down fixes. - metal slug is now much much better - Control is now even better - Bug fixed some code readded some missing part in cdaudio.c - cdaudio now on time delay is much better. This is much faster on the slow parts. Framelimter has been changed makes it smoother. Readded my pesudo frameskip as well It's now really pretty speedy please give this a try on metal slug you will like it.. Thanks to fosters for the control fix and to quzar for all his great coding work on this emu.. This is a My Editon I use I thought I'd share.. Enjoy

NeoCD/SDL DC Version 6

Frameskipping: it was implemented before but not properly. it is fixed and set at ~4. Frame Limiting: This allows for the emulator to slow down if it is rendering too fast. VMU Display: Existed before but was broken, now displays a neo geo logo, saving... or "PUSH UP FOR REGION SELECT" when appropriate. Optional Region Select: Region select is now not default. To access it, hold up while the emu is loading. (defaults to USA) Game Autoloading: Now the emulator auto-loads game, no need to wait and hit start, just put in a CD when prompted, and the emulator will do the rest. Speedup: The emulator has been sped up by around 10% max, without the frameskip. When frameskip is taken into account, it runs almost completely full speed. Misc bugfixes and code optimizations. 2 players is via using 2nd player on the keyboard at this time.

NeoCD/SDL DC Version 5.5

Includes all updates given below. New in 5.5 slight speed up.. Tells you when the bios is loaded.simple stuff to help newbie's.

NeoCD/SDL DC Quzar-CL- Version 5 Metal Slug edition!
New in V5 this version has a region selector so you can chose what region. Also i have made it so a saving txt will display so you know when it's saving.. Now there might be a problem saving with the vmu from changed regions. Screen and display should be flicker free and speed should be slighty better on all games and less slow-down. Less memory is being used again so other games may-work. Quzar did the selector me and him sat on msn all night going through it.. SO it's like the quzar editon..

NeoCD/SDL DC first version
This emulator is in the early stages of production, so to speak. Original NeoCD(DOS Version) by Martinez Fabrice, The NEOGEO CD SDL port was done by Fosters (SDL portions written by Fosters(2001,2003).) With the on-going help from Fosters, Troy Davis (GPF), BlueCrab and BlackAura. (If I have omitted anyones name in the credits, please let me know, as it was not intentional.) 80's WOWpack -Christmas Edition - *new

This new editon is the start of a new way of doing this emulator. This version is like it's own mini dream inducer, very basic mind you. New graphics, and music for Christmas. You can swap rom cds making it alot easier to burn. Look at wowpack A and C lists to get what games are available for those paks. WowPack B supports 700 romsets. More info in the readme included.

Oswan Source and Elf

This is the source to the unofficial update that was put out a couple years ago.

 


Atari 7800 update

"[A2600/A7800] Fixed reset handling. [Nate Woods], [A7800] Fixed RAM0 and RAM1 bank handling, which has been broken since MESS 0.61. Ikari Warriors now runs, among other games most likely. [Nate Woods]." These changes and more are now ported to the new DC7800 mess build sound is improved. Speed does vary across the range of games some run very well other dont.


Spectrum 128k for Dreamcast TEST VERSION

One of the only Spectrum 128k emulators for Dreamcast. Play most of the games you used to on your DC. Some games may not work due to timing issues. I would like to make a list of working/non-working games please post it so I can include it here. You MUST have a keyboard to use this emulator.


Taito Coin-op Pack

Tatio Coin-op hits pack of taito games including are New zealand story, Arkaniod2 ,Extermination, Insector X , Kageki, Chuka Taisen, Dr. Toppels Adventure, Plump pop. Credit to the mame PC team and ice88.


Vectrex M.E.S.S.

Based off the ported m.e.s.s. by ice88, is the Vectrex emulator. LIGHT PEN and 3D IMAGER games are not compatible.



Pacman Pack- All are running at 100% speed with NO frameskip. Pac-Man, Jump Shot, Lizard Wizard, Magic Brush, Make Trax (set 1), Mr. TNT, Ms. Pac Man Attacks, Ms. Pac-Man, Puckman, etc.


Intellivision M.E.S.S. final

This is a new build that has all of the improvements by the mess team and ice88. The new file selection code lets you load roms from the main GUI. Graphics by Gabbi.

Compatibility



Simpsons/Vendetta Pack- These games are running between 70-100% speed. With what I can do, it's as good as it gets. This is not an SGA (single game arcade) release.


Atari Lynx M.E.S.S.

This is based off Ice88/Warmtoes work on M.E.S.S. and M.A.M.E. source code 0.71. It's running at about 36fps, which is a great speed for lynx. The only gam tested is rygar, so other game speeds may vary.


Oswan Fullscreen

From the source of the original release I managed to code in fullscreen support. I will be working on this in the coming months to see if I can get sound as well. Keep checking back for news and info.


SIemu

My first emulator port. Although its just Space Invaders, it taught me alot in how code works for certain things. I'll be looking at other sdl emulators in a while.
